An early Hamilton "Khaki" based on the Vietnam-era watches. Its original canvas strap wore out a long time ago.

Nice Pan Am John! It's a Gruen model with both military(civilian Clipper pilots)& public heritage.

Same as just about every other day. 3570.50 cal 861. This is the second one that I've owned; the first was 1960's cal 321 and it was a little beat up. This one I've managed to take relatively good care of. New in 2010.

John, I think that's probably the nicest Gruen I've ever seen!

I kinda miss my 321 with the column wheel, but the 861 is a much better design. Looks great!

Always wanted one of these. What kind of band would it have had originally, Bill?

I am not sure what the correct band should be, but I would imagine it would be more than the $50 that I paid for the watch. I'll have to do some researching on the band. I couldn't quite believe my eyes and when I got home I put in a battery and it runs beautifully.

The Accutron's I saw/owned back in the 70's came with Spidel 'twist-o-flex' bands or leather bands with buckles with the Accutron emblem.

My 214 came with the black alligator Spidel back in 1975, as I recall.

Regards! Mark

Thanks for the input Mark. I now have a Spidel Twist o flex on it, but think I would prefer the black leather. A dark face and band will look nice.
