This one has been glued to my wrist for the last three weeks while I was on vacation. It contains a Swiss ETA 7750 automatic movement. As you'll note it also comes from the GST Classic Series, similar to the chronographs I had up for sale a month or so ago. The watch shown below is the Pilot's version with two time zones. Hey Dave: How do you tell what time it is on that watch? Wink

I'm wearing this one today - a 1973 Bulova 23 jewel automatic. I love the offset oval case, burgundy dial, lugs, roman numerals and day window at 9. Oh yeah, keeps good time! One of my favorites! Smile

Jerry,

it's very easy, the outer ring marked 1-12 can be rotated by the screw down crown located at the
10.0 o'clock position. This outer ring is for the second time zone. I normally always keep it set to
CDT + 6.0 hours = GMT. When I'm travelling, then I'd tend to adjust it to suit the particular time zone I'm in.

* The sub dial at 9.00 o'clock runs constantly with elapsed seconds. (with or without the chronograph functions running )
* The sub dial at 12.0 o'clock when activated measures thirty elapsed mintues
(two revolutions per hour )
* The sub dial at 6.00 o'clock when activated measures twelve elapsed hours (two revs per day)
* The red sweep second hand when activated measures seconds. It keeps running until it's stopped.
* All of these functions will run at the same time when the chronograph is activated.
* The crown at 2.00 o'clock stop/start.
* The crown at 4.00 o'clock resets the two registers and the sweep second hand to zero.
* The movement is an ETA 7750 Swiss automatic with quick set day/date.
* All four crowns are screw down.
* Sapphire crystal, SS screw back.
* Extremely clear, highly luminous dial.
* Water resistant to 200 Metres.

NOTE:- Complicated mechanical chronographs like this one(nine total functions)are normally set to run most accurately when all functions are running. When the chronograph functions are stopped/de-activated the watch will tend to run a little bit faster. E.G. The watch I have shown above will lose about 30 seconds a month when all the chronograph functions are running. When the chronograph functions are turned off with only the elapsed seconds, day, date, hour & minutes running the watch will tend to run fast about 1.0 minute per month.

I hope this chronograph 101 course was useful Big Grin

Here's a very nice Swiss made WARWICK Art Deco watch from the 1930's. I just got it yesterday, in fact this is the only one I've ever seen. Razz

Today I wore my 25J Ball Trainmaster automatic in a stainless steel case, which Lin Riddle was kind enough to pick up for me at the Great Lakes Regional:

Good "Timing" (pun intended), Ed. These are great little watches, that do keep excellent time.

I'm wearing my Ball Trainmaster that I just received back from Rene Rondeau after servicing. This one has the 25 Jewel E.T.A. movement with a 10K gold filled bezel and case back.

With the recent interest in Art Deco, I thought I would get this one out and maybe wear it a while tomorrow.
