Mike HodgeMy Gold Rolex
I picked up a late 50's Datejust in solid 18 K gold. It's pretty to look at, comfortable to wear and just serviced. The 18 K gold Jubilee band is not original to the watch, nor is the crown. This is a Reference Number 6605 which apparently came out in 1958? The movement is a 1065 which first appeared in 1957. I really like these dials on the old Datejusts. These were around in the 50's as seen in print adverts browsing ebay.

Mike HodgeThe bracelet, while probably not original, is very nice and these are difficult to find.

Mike HodgeChris is finishing the restoration of my GMT Master II this week. I'll probably sell one of these as I don't have Phil's bank account. The GMT photos will be posted after I receive the watch back. Knowing Chris's work it should look and run like new. Stand by for that one!

Donald C. HendersonVery nice. I just can't put out the money that Rolex demands. That one, with a solid gold case and bracelet, must be worth a pretty penny.

Mike HodgeDon, I can't AFFORD to put out the money either. I did sell a number of items and got a decent deal.
Thanks Peter. I'll show it in person in about a month.
