Accutron 214 Astronaut bezel question "Click" to Login or Register
posted
For the Bulova Accutron wizards: I picked up an Accutron 214 Astronaut. It all seems original. The crystal fits and the bezel goes on securely but won't turn. There was some rust on base of bezel and case, and it has been mostly removed. Is the bezel itself made of sections that may now be fused together. What am I missing here?

Can you post a picture of the watch with the bezel off and the underside of the bezel?

Mystery solved. The bezel assembly was so badly rusted that the 2 inner rings and spring came out in pieces. At the very least I can clean and epoxy everything together and fix the bezel permanently to case. Meanwhile I'll search for another bezel.
