Actually, it is a non-Hamilton.

Generic cases such as these were available from jobbers and credit jewelers to fit movements of most of the major manufacturers so that when the gold-filled case wore out on your Hamilton, your movement could be put in this generic case and you wouldn't have to buy a whole new watch.
