I wanted to pass along a link to a fascinating video on watchmaiking: www.solidworks.com/btd/innovations/watchmaking.htm This is from Solidworks, a 3d-CAD program used professionally for mechanical design. It shows the software being used at Franck Muller to design a Tourbillion watch. There is a 6-minute video showing the factory and how the watch was designed, built and assembled, and a separate 4-minute video showing some of the features of Solidworks as they apply to microminiature parts. Enjoy! (I have no association with Solidworks or Franck Muller, I just thought it was a great video!) randelfi | |||
