What would the original crown for an Illinois 'Pilot' look like? Are they hard to find?

Thanks,
Dana

Dana,

The proper crown could look like any used on all of the 3/0-sized Illinois, Elgin, and Waltham generic cases from the 1920's -- like the Ace, Pilot, Atlantic, etc. I'll have a look in my Illinois parts shed to she what I can find, I likely have a few in white, I'm not sure if I have yellow or green. Please email me and let me know what color you need, if you'd like: rv78@hotmail.com

Regards,

Rick
