Waltham Premier Questions "Click" to Login or Register

Friends,

I just purchased this Waltham Premier on Ebay and was looking for some information on it. Movement type and jewel count and maybe what size watch band it takes. 14mm? I have large wrists and doubt the band on it will fit me. Thank you in advance for your help.

John

John,

Your watch is the Waltham Premier "Townsend" from 1940-42, and should be powered by the Waltham 750-B tonneau movement. It's about the same size as the Lord Elgin movements of the period. The "Premier" versions were either 17 or 19 jewels.

This watch should be about 39 x 22 mm, and should use a 16mm strap. It's not an overly large watch, but is about mid-range among the rectangular watches from that period.

Regards,

Cary
