Quartz watch question "Click" to Login or Register

I have a friend who has a Victorinox Swiss quartz wristie that he recently replaced the battery in. He says as soon as the battery was inserted, the watch started running backwards.

I have few quartz watches and have limited experiences with the. What would cause this? Reverse polarity due to inserting the battery backwards? Cursed voodoo spell?

Thoughts?

Regards! Mark

Hi Mark

A damaged or dirty stator, new movements are relatively cheap, best just to change it out.
