The worn out gold filled case has been re-plated with lead solder. The same stuff was used to repair the worn through lugs. I have to wonder if someone was trying to make-due with this watch during the Great Depression of the 1930's - ?

Interestingly, the 11 jewel Swiss Ditishiem, "Nassau" movement is still ticking a’bit- it seems like it would work if properly cleaned and oiled. But who would want to use a lead watch?

Best regards,

Greg
