Have an early Gruen (Gruen Guild cal. 707) in a 14K filled Wadsworth case that appears to be a green gold. If so, would buckles be made to match? Any comments for someone who doesn't have a clue? Have done a search for past postings and couldn't find any mention of. Thanks. Allan Aude sapere

Allan, Originally, your watch would have come with a green gold buckle. Gruen made them in the Cincinnati factory, both in gold-filled, and in solid gold. They are hard to come by. I've had a few over the years, but none right now. Good luck, Cary

Thanks Cary, Makes sense, green case green buckle. Anything else would be unnatural. I didn't know if it would have used a buckle; perhaps a clasp of sorts, or maybe an expandable for that matter. Pictoral references are scarce. Appreciate your help in every way. Allan Aude sapere
