Greg ReevesLady Elgin
A friend brought this watch to me today to "find out" about it. What I know about watches would fit with room left over in this watch.

The dial states: Lady Elgin, with a little "scrolly thing".
The Case(inside) states: Cased and Timed by Elgin National Watch Co., Schwab & Wuischpard, 14k gold, 222688
The back plate of the movement states:L331743, 19 Jewels, Elgin 619.
Any info would be greatly appreciated....

John D. DuvallGreg,
This watch has a 21/0s movement, grade 619, 19J made around 1945. Between 1940 & 1948, there were 635000 of these made.

John D. DuvallGreg,
"619" happens to be the grade number of the watch. Higher grade numbers doesn't mean a better watch. I believe Elgin assigned grade numbers from 1 to 999.
