It's 14K gold filled. I figured it was a 1936 Boone, but I thought they were all 10k gold filled.

Don,

That is a "Boone" model, which first became available on November 1, 1935.

The "Boone" was not offered with a black dial. It appears that the Butler finish on your dial has worn away, exposing the silver surface of the dial... Hamilton used solid silver dials. These dials had inlaid enamel tracks and Hamilton signature that were baked into the surface of the silver. It is one the easier types of dials to refinish since the tracks and signature are permanent.

Hey Guys,
Was the Boone the only Hanilton ww with a coin edge?

Not surprisingly, the "Coin" model from 1969 had a reeded edge.

Hi Don:

Also, your Boone has the wrong crown. Early Hamilton's did not use signed crowns.

Will
