here is a nice Gruen with a 14k rose gold case and a 2 tone 24 hour dial..I now own 2 Gruens with the 24 hour 2 tone dials this one and a gold filled one..
I think this is called the Pan-American dial

Here's a couple of my Gruens with Pan American Dials. I believe these watches were used by Pan American pilots in the 30's/40's timeframe. I'd also expect some of these watches saw military service in WWII.

Here's a picture of the original Pan American office in Key West Florida. It's just around the corner from where the author Ernest Hemmingway used to live. While living in Key West he wrote his famous novel "Old Man of the Sea"

Dave nice watches the one dial looks to be just like or very close to the one i posted..I resale most watches i buy but may keep this one ..



glad you posted up the Pan American Airways picture I was wondering where these dials got their name (Pan American) now i know..
