1928 Elgin Two-Tone "Click" to Login or Register
posted
Have you ever had a timepiece that you wish you had time to work on? Since it was a Saturday and not too busy at work I decided to COA this Elgin with new a mainspring. This early Elgin has been in my bench for the past couple of years. I also managed to find the correct NOS dial in all the old LaRose dials we bought many years ago. Could not find a correct period crown, but the one I used looks fine. Enjoy.

Very nice watch, Ernest! I am fond of the older ones. I especially like the two-tone filigree case and bezel combination. Well done!
