Won this on ebay. Thought it might be a Gruen 50th anniversary watch. After really looking at this I am pretty sure I am wrong! It is 14k gold filled with case # 5225442/ 117/8W. Can anyone let me know for sure and maybe give its value to reassure me I didn't over pay for this? Expertice appreciated, thanks.

Here is a link to a previous thread on the presumed 50th Anniversary wristwatch. As discussed there, the fancy engraved movements are postulated to have been produced to play on the marketing of the famous pocketwatch, but no advertising has yet been reported to make this connection. Your watch has the right calibre, but the wrong finish.
