In our IHC185 Technical Library, Serial Numbers and Site Links we have a wealth of information regarding the various watch companies.

There is a link in that forum for Waltham Serial Numbers however, some of the serial numbers are not available as well as some information is ambiguous. I know many of our IHC185 Members have Waltham books as resources that are more reliable.

If you post your movement number here in this topic, I know someone will be able to provide you the information you are seeking.

A friend gave me a Waltham 3/0 grade 359 9J Hunting watch. Serial number 28830003, which I think dates it to 1885 It is marked simply Waltham nine jewels.. It has a porcelain dial, and missing hands and pendant bow. I'll post a picture.
