Take a look at this Hamilton Putnam that closed tonight

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=...item=5010773676&rd=1

I know the white gold fill case is less than common than the yellow gold fill and the applied numbers are nice but over $900 - yikes

Talk about one happy seller! Nice watch, I'll admit, but not THAT nice.

Gary, On the opposite side of the spectrum, this Coronado went for substantially less than I'd expect.

William, seeing as you're the winning bidder, I hope that wasn't a complaint! Big Grin

Nice catch.

Bill

I saw that listing and watched the auction. The lower price is somewhat expected due to the seller listing few details and pics. I don't know the going rate for the Coronado , but for a while it was sitting real low.

THe other auction had more info, etc. I have bought from that seller before and have been happy, though I cannot remember what watch I purchased.( Not a good sign !)

Maybe Bryan should increase the price for his Putnam on his website

Tom,

I am certainly not complaining. A decent Coronado could/should easily achieve $3000 to $3500. One of the 3 enamel bezel watches, the Hamilton Coronado is one of the most desirable early Hamilton's. I am quite pleased, and will post some photo's later today. It is an extremely fine example.

My experience is as follows:

Seller with little watch knowledge + poor listing + few photos + scant details = Great Opportunity

That's the kind of seller I'm ALWAYS looking for on eBay. Only problem is, so are all the other serious Hamilton collectors out there that surf the 'bay! Wink
