Mark G. ReitzElgin 18/0 Stem Removal
Does anyone have any tips on removing the stem on this movement? I have loosened and even removed the stem set lever screw and it still won't pull out I need to remove to get movement out of case so I can't get to the stem from the dial side...should I try removing the train bridge?
Thank...Mark

Mark G. ReitzA good view of the watch,Thanks Ed for the site help I am a newbie at this so the pics aren't the best.Turns out the set lever screw had to be turned into the movement to release the stem unlike the newer movements I have worked on where the set screw is turned counter clockwise. It is running great and keeping good time for a 1927 elgin in a 14 k wadsworth case
