Can someone date this watch for me it measures 36 mm side to side and has a 28 jewel automatic movement?

I think it's mid-1950s. The "rocking-horse" M logo dates to at least 1956. That's also when they brought out the "Kingmatic", so yours may be a bit earlier than that.

The Movado History book says it was introduced in 1960 and discontinued in 1967.
