Illinois did more of that than most any other maker. That was probably originally private-labeled for a department store.

The original dial would have been marked a bit differently. And did you notice the marks of at least three other movements in that case?

This is another of those left-over ladies pendant movements they were still stuck with so many years later. That movement was originally designed to be an open-faced pendant watch, but in a case like you see here the seconds bit ends up oddly at the 9 position.

Illinois sold a lot of them configured loke that.

Cool looking watch but not nearly as original as the seller would have you believe.
