Hi All

Can anyone tell me what year they switched from a straight "Illinois" to an arched "Illinois". I have just purchased a 21j Bunn Special with the fishscale damaskeening from 1913 and it has a straight lined "Illinois" damaged dial on it. I have a perfect dial but it has the arched "Illinois". Should I switch to the nicer dial?

Thanks for any help.

Regards
Keith

Keith,

The arched dial would most likely be too late for your watch.

According to the info posted in this prior topic, the switch from straight to arched signature happened around 1917, serial # about 3 million.

Best Regards,

Ed
