12s Illinois Question
I would appreciate any info on this 12s, OF movement.
Serial # 3,739,334, looks to be 17j, adj.

I don't have an Illinois Watch Co. book, so can't really look it up. Thanks for any help.

Hello Frank,

Factory records in the Illinois Encyclopedia list your number 3739334 as being 12-size, pendant-set, open-face, 17-jewels, model 3 and grade 405 from 1920 production. According to the authors over 400,000 of the grade 405 were produced making it the highest production Illinois grade ever made.

You could say it was the most common or the most popular. Big Grin
