I found a private label Illinois pocket watch movement in my parts movement box that is interesting. It is a 16 size Grade 303, OF, 15J watch with a serial number of 2357541. What is interesting about the watch is that it is double marked on the movement and dial with Rice's Special, Corydon, Iowa. The dial is gold tone metal.

Has anyone ever heard of this private label? It is not in the Illinois book by Meggars and Ehrhardt.

Movement is not running (broken staff) and has some corrosion on the crown wheel, but it has gold plated train wheels and the matching private label markings.
