I'm almost embarassed to post these after Larry has been blowing us away with his gorgeous photos but this was a real step forward for me!

I just picked up this Lady Hamilton wrist watch and another Hamilton ladies wrist at an auction today. With my camera and limited skills there was no way I could get a clear close-up pic of the movement and dial.

I took my 10x loupe and hunkered down on the watch until the image was clear, moved my head away and snapped the pic with my lens against the loupe. Voila! Yippee! Ho-Hah!!

Okay, I still have some lighting issues...but it's a step forward!

Superb too Jack using a loupe. I've tried this trick many times with little success. I'm all thumbs. Frown

Thanks Larry! You don't need a loupe. Your pics are fantastic!

I found I had to use the viewing window on the back of the digital camera otherwise all the pics were off center.
