Here is a recently opened excursion line I noticed while visiting my parents at their home in Brunswick, Maine. The Maine Eastern is an excursion line running on old Maine Central tracks between Brunswick and Rockland:

The Maine Eastern is owned and operated by the Morristown & Erie Railway, which has a long history of operations in New Jersey. In 2003 the M&E extended freight operations to Maine by acquiring former Maine Central trackage and started the excursion passenger service the following year.

Anyway, for rail buffs visiting Maine this summer, I thought the Maine Eastern might be worth checking out.
