 Hi Greg, I'm betting that the "grease" started out life as WD 40 sprayed on by an amateur. If so, the movement probably smelled like old gasoline left in a forgotten tank for a few years. When I smell that I add to the estimate to cover the cost of a tank full of ultrasonic cleaning fluid. It's going to be contaminated beyond use. Best, Tom | |||
