"Curly" SjolanderHi Mike, It sure would help if you posted a picture of the movement. Is it time only, time and strike or time, strike and chime?

Michael RiskaHi Curly, Well, actually now it is a moot point. The guy who was selling it confessed that it was 30 hours and not 8 days. It was a quite old tall case clock that did have a strike train but just didn't "feel" right to me. I was just wondering if a tooth count or other action could be a give away as to a clocks duration.. Thanks for your reply Mike

Greg ReevesAn eight day movement will have 5 gears in the time train. A 30 hour will only have 4 gears.
