Jim Cope...great pics of a great watch Phil!...particularly like the way you have employed the lighting to cast a subtle shadow over the movement giving it dimension and depth...crown looks like it has never been turned...Jim C

Phil DellingerJim,
Thanks for your nice comments on this watch.
Lindell replaced the crown on this one for me, and the pictures now reflect what a correct Hamilton case model #11 looks like.
Lindell, thanks again!!

Phil DellingerHere is a nice example of a Hamilton 992B TwoTone pocket watch that I just got from an eBay auction. Looks all original to me. What do you all think about it?

Terry HillPhil,
Great Images!!
This watch will date to about 1947.
Have you verified serial numbers on center ring and bezel?
The dial is what I understand to be a 080 dial.
I also like the case serial number.....
Here is your case in the 1947 Product list...

Phil DellingerTerry,
Thanks for the nice comments for this great watch.
You are absolutely correct on the year for this watch, I was looking at the wrong column of numbers when I posted the original topic.
I verified all of the case numbers as follows:
Back cover H833338
Bezel 3338
center ring X3338
I work in a coin shop and if a currency note had this serial number pattern, it would be known as a
"radar note". Numbers match at both ends and can be switched end for end and still read identical.
I am pretty pleased with this one!
