This is the second watch I purchased at Strongsville. I was looking for a nice Dueber Hampden, and I think this fills the bill. I have to thank Ralph Rehner for his patient mentorship of a clock guy stumbling around in the world of watches. He shepherded me through the mart and instructing and looking, and the results weren't too bad!!! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

I thought it was a pretty low number! I believe it puts it at about 1891.

Nice watch Tom!

That is a 17j, model 2, leverset, adjusted, grade 107 and is RRG. Date would be 1891-1901.
The serial is not really that low overall for a Hampden but the serial range for this model is 814,000-1,600,000.

Ken,
Thanks for the info.

I did not mention in the earlier post that the case is a Dueber.

I thought I would put this new post with the other Deuber Hampden. I got this one at Ft. Mitchell. It is a 17j, ser# 3994092, No.108. I think the unique this about this movement is the mark, "Steel Escape Wheel". I also thought the damasceeming pattern was attractive. The dial has a problem between 4 and 5. The case is a Dueber 20 yr.
