I like that 3 line dial, not sure if I have ever seen one like that.

Robert Strachan born March 23, 1869 in Ontario as listed in the 1901 Census for Fort William, Algoma, Ontario.

He is listed as a jeweler, married to Edith Feb 9, 1873 Ont., son Laneuel Oct 21, 1895, son Cecil July 31, 1897, daughter Olive Feb 26, 1900. Robert's sister Ada March 10, 1877 also living with them. Servant Lozzie Young.

Also found in The Lethbridge Herald 02/05/1929 Lethbridge Alberta a one line notice "Robt. Strachan, prominent Fort William jeweler, died suddenly.

As there were not many Hampdens approved for use on the CPR this one was probably used on the Canadian Northern Railway, or the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway that both operated out of Winnipeg, picture of movement

Another excellent watch as usual.

The Canadian census must be down right now but I did find the jeweler's obituary. It is from the Winnipeg Free Press June 30, 1956.
