Watch Signs and Advertising
Good evening,

One of my favorite areas of collecting (besides tools Smile) is advertising, signs and some paper.

I've been cleaning house and thought I'd post a few things. I hope others will take a moment to post some goodies.

This first one is a tin Hamilton sign. It looks better in person, I still haven't figured out how to take good pictures.

Wynter, I think the old advertising signs, ads etc. are very interesting. Thanks for posting this one. I'll be looking forward to the rest.

Here's an early two sided sign on wood. It's on a single board that's 14 wide. I can't recall the correct name of the painting style; it's got sand mixed with the paint.

Hendrickson

The story is that it came from the Kansas area and settled in Turlock California sometime in the 1930’s.

I like the style of the Watch and jewlery repaired sign. Is it painted on wood?

Here's one I might have posted last year. It's reverse painted on glass. Waltham

I'll try to get some more up tonight.

Wynter, great topic, glad you thought of it... and you know that Waltham Sign reminded me of this one...

Tom,

I love that piece! Here is some Elgin ephemera that is the size of a standard business card.

I hate to see this thread languish without further participation. Let's keep it alive with more interesting ephemera.

Here is a photo engravure of the Elgin Watch Factory. I liked it so much that I spent 10 times as much having it framed with archival backing as I paid for it! Big Grin
