Columbian Expo Ingersoll Pocket Watch
I recently attended an auction here in Elgin that featured over 450 lots of items from the Columbian Exposition, Chicago Worlds Fair, 1893.

Included were three pocket watches one of which I managed to snag.

As you can see it is wound and set from the back like an alarm clock. It is also pretty big. The case measures 2-1/2" in diameter and 1" thick.

For all that it is pretty light weighing only 4-1/4 ozs. I am unsure of the metal composition of the case. It is quite thin with the decorations very clear on the inside in reverse suggesting that they were stamped into the metal rather than engraved.
