1892 Walthams are among the most beautiful movements ever made. Thanks for sharing that one. We'd all be interested in knowing exactly what the D&RG name stands for.

D&RG stands for Denver & Rio Grand RR. The attachments were very easy to load, although the first time I tried them the file size was way too large. This site is very user friendly and has helped me to learn a lot about horology.

The following pictures were taken with the Nikon 4500 camera. The previous picture was taken with a flatbed scanner. I think the camera gives a softer picture to look at.

My Waltham, model 1892 pocket watch, was named for the D&RG RR.

I have added 3 photos of locomotives that were on the D&RG RR Line.

This 1943 photo shows D&RGW locomotive #105 in the rail yards of Salt Lake City, Utah. (The "W" in D&RGW stands for Western)

D&RGW locomotive #268 at the Durango Colorado roundhouse in 1927.

D&RGW locomotive #268 as it now stands completely restored in Gunnison Colorado.

When I attended the National in Chicago back in 1992, I met a real character named "Hobo Joe" who at that time was the King of the Hoboes he gave me a ticket for a free bowl of Mulligan Stew along with these two postcards.

Hobo Joe was quite the charactor and was a regular at many of the larger regionals during the 90's. If you caught him at the right time, you could even get a nice watch bought from time to time. I bought a nice 23J Sangamo Special marked 60hr from him at the Orlando show one year.
