Tobias "Lord Street"
The Lord Street movement was Tobias' best grade. This example (movement only) from around 1830 has a half-plate layout with a hinged, fitted dustcover (which is open in this image). It is jeweled to the center.

... and also another close-up of the movement -- I like the look of the gold rim on the blued-steel balance wheel and the deep engraving that I find typical of many Liverpool watches.

Jerry,

Nice movement, one of my favorite styles. I have not see to many 1/2 plates. I have only one. I wonder why the dial is not signed ??? Not the style that early ??
The second hand appears to be an original...
