Jerry TreimanElgin grade 50
For those of you who would like to find a nice example of the Elgin convertible movement, but feel the 21j model is out of your price-range, keep an eye out for the grade 50. These show up now-and-then and seem to be under-appreciated. The grade 50 and the grade 86 (3-finger bridge style) are the next grade down from the 21-jewel models and are still very fine movements with a nice finish.
