UNUSUAL SCAN OF METAL DIAL Phil Dellinger NAWCC# 157070 IHC Life Member (L12) ![]()
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS WATCH IS? I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY INFORMATION TO HELP IDENTIFY IT. THE ONLY INFO I KNOW ABOUT IT IS THAT IT IS KW/KS IN A VERY ORNATE SILVER CASE. ![]()
ORNATE SILVER CASE ![]()
It looks to be an anonymous English fusee with lever escapement in a nicely carved sterling silver case. I might guess that it is from the mid- to late-1800s. If you can get a picture of the hallmarks inside the back of the case I can get the date more precisely.
Terry, Thanks for your help. Here are the hallmarks found inside on the case back. Phil Dellinger NAWCC# 157070 IHC Life Member (L12) ![]()
Hi Phil, Your English fusee dates to 1861. Regards, John Pavlik
