DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS WATCH IS? I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY INFORMATION TO HELP IDENTIFY IT. THE ONLY INFO I KNOW ABOUT IT IS THAT IT IS KW/KS IN A VERY ORNATE SILVER CASE.

Phil, that is a beautiful old watch! Smile Great shots also! The cock looks enticingly familiar, but I'm still trying to learn the more common American watches.

It looks to be an anonymous English fusee with lever escapement in a nicely carved sterling silver case. I might guess that it is from the mid- to late-1800s. If you can get a picture of the hallmarks inside the back of the case I can get the date more precisely.

Terry,
Thanks for your help. Here are the hallmarks found inside on the case back.

Hi Phil,

Your English fusee dates to 1861.
