I have obtained a hand setting tool,but am stumped on how to support the center wheel pivot/jewel with it.The punches are different sizes to accomodate the cannon pinion sizes.I will try again to post a photo to illustrate the tool. ![]() | ||

Sam, I use this tool all the time. It is great for setting wristwatch hands. I don't recommend it for pocket watches. I use my staking set for that. Rich Kuhn IHC Member 155 | |||

Thanks for posting Sam and thanks Rich about using the staking set. I wasn't putting on hands but just a stiff cannon pinion. I used an inverted concave punch to support the center wheel pivot while using a flat hole punch from the top for the cannon pinion. Using hand pressure, I was able to push the cannon pinion on with no problems (or worries). Thanks guys! | |||
