I just recently purchased this oak rolltop watchmakers bench. The label on the front reads Jessen & Rosberg, Chicago. Are these rolltop benches commonly seen? Thanks, Chris

Beautiful bench! The rolltops are much less common and yours looks great.

Thanks Roger, I thought it was a great find for $540.00.

John,

I have a similar bench in black walnut, without the rolltop (see picture), that cost me $600, so I'd say you got a good buy. As Roger pointed out, the rolltops are much less common.

This walnut bench (circa 1920) cost me $600.

John,
I have one like yours, but mine has knobs for drawer pulls. Great bench.
