Can any one suggest a good book that has diagrams of clock movements, preferably american clocks. I have not found anything so far on the internet or elsewhere. Thanks for all help.

Kevin, There is an excellent book entitled Questions and Answers of and for the Clockmaking Profession by Baier, Tinger and Whitney and published by AWI. I got this book in 1981, and I don't know if it still available or not. Lib of Congress No.: 81-65543 There are diagrams of some common American movements as well as a wealth of repair tips and procedures. Tom

Kevin, I got out the book to see just what movements were pictured, and it turns out that the only drawings are of chiming movements. No simple time and strike. Tom

Thanks Tom for having a look in your book, i will have a look around for a book, hope i find one sometime.
