I am looking for advice on removing the spindle from a ball bearing headstock. I have removed the threaded end caps, the flat nut for setting preload and the set screw from the pulley but the spindle will not slide out. I have tried rapping the drawbar end on a wood block, but it hasn’t moved. Before I put in the press I wanted to ask if it is normal that it should take a fair amount of force to remove it or am I missing something? Thanks, Bruce Aldo | |||
