Roger J. NolfeSwartchild - Triumph Watch Rate Timer
Is anyone familiar with such a machine? Can you give details of its operation?

Edward KitnerRoger,
Are we looking at the same machine on e-bay. If we are, no one bid on it. (see post below) That might tell us something!

Roger J. NolfeHi Ed...Yep...I saw it late in the auction and couldn't find any info. It looks nice.

Edward KitnerIt will probably be listed again. Maybe some will chime in and give us an opinion

Roger J. NolfeHi Ed...I contacted the seller and decided to take a chance. It is Swartchild and it looked very clean. I'll let you know if I made a mistake or not when I get it.

Edward KitnerRoger,
I'm curious also. Keep me informed as to how it operates.

Roger J. NolfeThe timer arrived and the first thing I noticed were little silver balls all over the place. This thing uses a small amount of mercury to act as a switch. A motor spins two pins thru the mercury for the switching. The machine does not work. I'm waiting for a friend that has a tube tester to bring it over so we can test the tubes. Will probably wind up looking real nice on a shelf.

Edward KitnerRoger,
Maybe you will be able to bring it back to life.
I'm still looking for one!
