South Bend Watch Company Envelope 1914
Here is a piece of an envelope I found showng the return address for the South Bend Watch Company. It has US postage stamp with a cancel date of March 11, 1914 and illustrates the famous watch in a block of ice.

Nice philatelic item, Ernie. I'm not sure I get the connection with a block of ice. Keeps on tickin' in the cold maybe?

This is the 1908 advertisement of the South Bend ice block campaign.

Thank you Gerald! TV's pitchman Billy Mays would be proud. After I read this, I was thinking that ice block could be as warm as 32 degrees F. in theory so I wonder how that watch would do at 32 degrees below zero like it gets in Montana or Alberta. Big Grin

That image is a little bit blurry though (hint, hint).
