Which size 16 Hamilton pocket watch movements will fit into a Model 15 Hamilton Stainless Steel case? 992,992E,992B,950,950B,950B, and possibly any others? Thx.

we will just say, 'most' grades in 16s will fit... there are some early movements with detent stems and some with oversize plates that will not... some pendant set movements MAY not set/wind correctly in the 15 case....

Thx Terry...I assume the 950 grades would work with no problem..Thx again

Mark, As I'm sure Terry would agree there is a big difference between what might "fit" and what would be right. The Model 15 Stainless Steel case was designed for the 992B and that really is the preferred combination. Today we have the ability to collect correct examples. Lindell

I believe that only lever set movements will work in a Model 15 case. I just checked one of these cases, the stem has no detent, so that it cannot be placed in a position where it will set the hands on a pendant set model. So, Hamilton 950P movements will not work. Besides, Lindell is right, the only "correct" movement would be a 992B. Ed Ueberall IHC Member 34 The Escapement
