Why do you identify this as a Hamilton part? Also, how big is it? Does it look like it is from a wristwatch, pocketwatch or chronometer-size movement? Your photos are so good it looks like it is from a grandfather clock Big Grin

It was with leftover material from the Hamilton factory as far as I know. Here's another photo of the piece alongside a pallet fork from a 12/s Elgin.
