How do I get it out of the case? I can see that the crown end is like an arrow and the watch end is split, but I can't get them separated.

Is there a trick?

Thanks for any help, Jim

Hi Jim,

They're supposed to snap apart but I don't like doing it that way.

It's a bit fiddly but I turn the watch face down in my hand and gently turn the crown so that the two parts of the stem can slide apart. Most of the time you can't see what the orientation of the stem is, because of the dial, to allow them to slip apart... so I wiggle the crown a bit, back and forth, until I see that the movement is coming loose.

Then you can usually see if you need to turn the crown a little more to release the two part stem. Many times the movement just falls right out of the case into the palm of my hand. Be careful though, sometimes it comes away quickly.

If that doesn't work then you may have to use nippers to get in between the crown and case, and gently as possible, pop the stem/crown.

Thanks Tim, The second method worked for me. I just couldn't get it to release on it's own.

Regards, Jim
