Anyone know how to open a Mido Ocean Star Powerwind? I am trying to open the watch, I believe it comes out the front but I can't work out how to remove the crown? Roddy JB

Hi Roddy Is this a monocase ? If then you do not know the calibre used. I asume the crystal front is removed. No small indentation at the crown position from the front visible? --> the stem is very likely two parted ; try this: bring the crown in a position with the 'Mido' writing parallel to the face. Turn over the watch (face down and one hand to catch underneath) and gently shake. The movement should come out. Regards Gerald

Hi Gerald, I tried lining up the Mido on the crown parallel. upside down and at 90 degrees. It still just tilts out slightly but not clear of the case. Rod Roddy JB
