Kenneth R. PearsonAristo Desk Clock, ca.1930, Broken Center Staff
I would like some advice on the best way to repair this center staff, since parts for these clocks are difficult to obtain. I would prefer not to dismount the wheel if possible. The broken section of the staff is somewhat corroded into the cannon pinion (8 mm. long), which explains why it came to me already broken. I mostly repair larger clocks and don't have a cutter small enough for that size pinion (not visible in photo).
