This is not watch repair question exactley. I have several parts cabinets which contain vials with cork stoppers. The cork crumbles when I try to get a part. Is there somthing you can do to the stoppers to prevent this?

Bob, I think your best bet is to replace them with new cork stoppers. You can find them in a good hardware store, or hobby shop.
