Waltham Stem Arrangement "Click" to Login or Register
posted
Hi All,

I've a couple of Gold Waltham wristwatches plus a Sterling Silver Waltham fob watch, all with stem trouble.

Can someone point me to information about how these things are fixed in position please, can't seem to find what I'm looking for?

One wristie was in bits with a broken collet, and from looking at this, stems appear to be held by sprung collets over a tube for retaining the stems, but everythings missing on two of them.

One wristie has a threaded tube which screws into the stem pipe, but the other has nothing, just a plain tube!
Does this type have a 'pressed in' arrangement, or is it a case of a stripped pipe?

Where can I get the stems and other bits?

Any help appreciated.

Best regards

John
